Egyptian ministers presented incentives designed to attract additional Chinese enterprises to the Suez Canal Economic Zone, aiming to increase local production capacity and exports. Chinese representatives reiterated their commitment to expanding maritime logistics and transport networks through the area. Both sides noted that reliable maritime transit remains essential for global commercial supply chains and bilateral commerce between China and regional trading partners. Beyond economic initiatives, the two heads of state held extensive talks addressing security conditions across the Middle East and North Africa. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and President Xi Jinping discussed avenues for resolving ongoing armed conflicts, emphasizing the need for diplomatic settlements and broader regional de-escalation. Chinese foreign ministry representatives maintained that Beijing supports an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in adjacent regional warzones, as well as the provision of steady humanitarian relief. Egyptian officials welcomed China's diplomatic presence as a voice calling for negotiated conflict resolution.
