Deep Vellum Launches Inaugural Music and Literature Festival in Dallas

The Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas is preparing for a significant cultural event this summer. The inaugural Deep Vellum Music & Literature Festival is scheduled to take place from July 10 to July 12, 2026. This new festival aims to bridge the gap between the worlds of music and literature through a series of collaborative performances and events. Organizers hope to highlight the intersectionality of these two creative fields for a wide audience. The festival will utilize eleven different venues throughout the historic district to host its programming. By spreading events across multiple locations, the organizers intend to foster a sense of community involvement and accessibility. Madison Ford, who created the festival’s programming, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming launch. She noted that the team is excited to welcome both local Dallas writers and poets as well as guests traveling from out of town. Will Evans, a key figure behind the Deep Vellum organization, is also involved in the festival's development. The event is designed to showcase a diverse range of artistic expressions, including live music and spoken word poetry. Organizers believe that combining these mediums will offer a unique experience for attendees.
