Taryn Simon Debuts Historic Solo Exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City is hosting a major new exhibition by artist Taryn Simon. Mariët Westermann, the director and CEO of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, spoke about the importance of the show. She stated that the museum’s collection aims to be both local and global. Westermann noted that the collection includes works from every continent. The exhibition was organized by curator Nat Trotman. The project was originally started by the museum's former artistic director, Nancy Spector. It represents a significant investment in contemporary lens-based art by the Guggenheim.
